A cup of coffee with Allegra Voss, account manager at the UCB since 1 September 2026. Her journey in Utrecht began 13 years ago and is now set to take on an international dimension. Get to know Allegra and find out what she’ll be focusing on in her new role.
How do you prefer your coffee in the morning?
“I don’t drink coffee, I’m a tea girl! I only enjoy coffee as a rare treat in an espresso martini after an evening out for dinner.”
Tell us more about your role at UCB / Utrecht & Partners
“As an account manager at UCB, my job is to put the city and region of Utrecht on the map, both nationally and internationally. Whilst Monique mainly focuses on association conferences, my focus is primarily on the business MICE market. I do this by, amongst other things, taking part in various trade fairs, utilising our network to connect organisers with our partners and other organisations, organising FAM trips and supervising site inspections. As a result, my days are very varied and dynamic, which I really enjoy.”
What are you currently working on / working towards?
“As I’ve only been part of the UCB team for a month, I’m still getting to grips with things, listening a lot and getting to know my colleagues and the various organisations within our extensive partner network. I’m also organising a FAM trip for German planners in November and am already brainstorming with Nina about the next successful edition of Let’s Meet Utrecht in 2027.”
What is your favourite place in the Utrecht region?
“That’s a great question, I actually thought I knew Utrecht quite well after thirteen years. But in the short time I’ve been working at Utrecht & Partners, I’ve already had the chance to discover so many new venues and places I hadn’t known about before. Recently, during the Domplein Highlights Tour, I visited DOMunder and Paleis Lofen for the first time. It was such a special experience to see and experience the city’s history in that way! For anyone who’s never been there, I’d definitely recommend it.”
Who would you like to have a cup of coffee with?
“Brené Brown. I find human connection and authenticity really fascinating. Her TED Talk ‘The Power of Vulnerability’ is still so relevant all these years later!’
