Utrecht is easily accessible by car using the A2, A12, A27 and A28 highways. The capital of Amsterdam is 30 minutes by car, and Brussels and Cologne are about a two-hour drive. You can find affordable parking on the outskirts of the city at one of the Utrecht P+R sites and ride a bus or light rail downtown.
Train
Utrecht has an excellent public transportation network. Travelers can move easily and quickly by bus and tram. The one-day U-OV travel pass (‘U-OV Dagkaart Utrecht’) allows you to travel an entire day within the municipality of Utrecht, including Leidsche Rijn. Day passes can be ordered from the U-OV customer service department or purchased at the U-OV Servicepunt counter inside Utrecht Central Station.
