Utrecht is the third largest conference city in the Netherlands, after Amsterdam and Rotterdam, according to the ICCA Ranking 2022. Utrecht is well on its way to getting back to the conference level from before corona. In addition, Utrecht is in 55th place out of 206 cities in the European city ranking. Utrecht welcomed 24 ICCA (International Congress and Convention Association) related conferences in 2022.

After a two-year absence, the annual ICCA Country and City Ranking returned. The ICCA ranking identifies the number of ICCA congresses held in each country and city in Europe and worldwide. The number of ICCA conferences is the main driver of the industry when it comes to knowledge sharing, human interaction and economic impact.
