Utrecht in the top 50 of the ICCA ranking of European cities

Utrecht is strengthening its position as a leading conference destination. According to the latest ICCA Ranking 2025, Utrecht is among the three largest conference cities in the Netherlands, after Amsterdam and Rotterdam.

Utrecht is making its mark internationally. In ICCA’s European ranking, Utrecht ranks 47th among all participating European cities. In total, the city welcomed no fewer than 33 ICCA-recognised conferences in 2025.

This international ranking maps the number of ICCA conferences per country and city worldwide. Within the conference industry, the ranking is regarded as an important benchmark for knowledge sharing, international collaboration, human interaction and economic impact.

Utrecht’s strong position highlights the city’s appeal as a destination for national and international conferences and meetings, particularly in the fields of Life Sciences & Health, Sustainability, and New Media & IT.
