How do you prefer to have your coffee in the morning?

“I always start my day with a cup of tea, but around 10:00, I often feel like having a coffee. I prefer to drink a cappuccino or latte macchiato to get some extra energy for the rest of the morning.”

What is the coolest thing Utrecht has to offer?

“The variety of possibilities. Utrecht is a very diverse region. You have beautiful historical cities with lovely canals, but you can also easily get into nature. This creates a wonderful combination of vibrant activity and serene tranquillity.”

Tell us more about your role.

“As a marketer at the Utrecht Convention Bureau, I communicate the story of Utrecht and why it is such a ideal destination for conferences and business events through various communication channels. This story includes the city of Utrecht and the region with all its possibilities. Besides its beautiful historical cities, Utrecht provides plenty of opportunities to explore the forests of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug, the polders of the Groene Hart, or the river landscape in the Kromme Rijnstreek. From large conferences to small-scale meetings with unique meeting breaks.”

What are you currently working on or working towards?

“I am collaborating closely with RBT Heuvelrug & Vallei and Woerden Marketing on regional business tourism cooperation. Together, we aim to promote the Utrecht region as a business destination even more effectively and stimulate business tourism in the province. We are focused on developing a platform that effectively represents the entire region. Additionally, we are actively involved in various initiatives, including campanges and articles on a national and international level.”

What is your favourite place in the Utrecht region?

“Fort aan de Klop, it is an incredibly charming fort where they have created a festival vibe. You can sit outside with a drink and a snack. But it is also very nice to take a walk from there along the Vecht towards Oud Zuilen.”

Who would you like to have a cup of coffee with?

“Michelle Obama. She seems like a highly intelligent, fascinating, and empowered woman. It would be great to have a conversation with her about work, society, parenthood, and much more.”
