A coffee with Anne Wouters, Team Lead Leisure, and since the fall of 2023, also for Team Business. What keeps her busy? Creating the connection between Leisure and Business, thereby putting Utrecht on the national and international map.
How do you like your coffee in the morning?
“I am a true coffee addict, and my morning is not complete without first enjoying a good black coffee. I usually do this at the office, where, due to working in the beautiful center of Utrecht, it is often tempting to get a good coffee-to-go somewhere in the city.”
Tell us more about your role at UCB / Utrecht Marketing
“For almost 2.5 years, I have been working at Utrecht Marketing as Team Lead Leisure within our Marketing & Communication team. Since the fall of ’23, I also became Team Lead for Team Business. It’s a great opportunity to put Utrecht on the national and international map – for both leisure and business visitors – together with the teams. We increasingly seek collaboration between the two domains. Whereas leisure and business were much more separate domains before, we now look for smart collaborations and logical connections. From offerings, partnerships to the implementation in marketing. The diversity of projects, from leisure campaigns to tapping into the corporate business market for Utrecht, makes the work so enjoyable.”
What are you currently working on / heading towards?
“We are preparing for a new top year for the UCB and Team Business in general. For example, specifically for the UCB – in addition to proactive acquisition at conferences – we are working on renewing the Venuefinder, developing a marketing plan for the corporate business market for 2024 in collaboration with partners in and around the city, and building an ambassador network in the Utrecht region.”
What is your favorite place in the Utrecht region?
“I’m a fan of so many places in the region. But if I have to choose, I was born in Austerlitz, and for that reason, one of my favorite places is the forest on the Utrechtse Heuvelrug; that truly feels like home. In addition, my favorite ‘city spot’ is the boardwalks near the Weerdsluis in Utrecht. Coffee-to-go, relaxing with friends in the summer, overlooking the canal and the Domtoren.”
Who would you like to have a cup of coffee with?
“I think it would be fantastic to have coffee with Ronald Goedemondt. I believe I would choke on my coffee several times from laughter. You can’t have a better start to your day, can you?”
