Utrecht Bid Fund

With the ‘Utrecht Bid Fund’, it is even more appealing to host corporate events in Utrecht. After assessment, this fund provides interest-free loans which are reimbursed if the event will be taking place in Utrecht. With this scheme, bidbooks can be compiled, people can travel to the location of the presentation and ultimate recruitment, committee members can be invited for a visit to Utrecht, etc.

If the event is not awarded to Utrecht, the costs are not settled with the congress budget and the financial advance is transformed into a subsidy. The assessment is based on the power of the event and, in the case of execution, the returns on the investment. The application must include a (preliminary) programme, supplemented with a plan of action and a budget.

The Utrecht Convention Bureau is also informed of other subsidy funds such as the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences.
